This bamboo whisk helps you emulsify your matcha. This bamboo whisk is called chasen, it is used in the traditionnal Japanese tea ceremony.

How to use the matcha whisk?

Add 1 teaspoon of matcha powder to a bowl and ½ cup of hot water (85 o C). Make quick horizontal movements with the whisk (for example, to form a “W”), without scratching the bottom of the bowl. Add another ½ cup of hot water of hot milk. 

Material

Each matcha whisk is hand crafted and contains 80 prongs: 80 individual tines that will separate the matcha powder as you whisk it. 

Maintenance

Rince gently the whisk under water.
