Kenya Gaturiri AA Coffee
Kaito is very excited to offer you their first Kenyan coffee. This lot was sourced via their new partnership with Collaborative Coffee Source. The Gaturiri Factory, along with Karatina, Gatomboya and Karindundu factories, is part of the Barichu Cooperative Society in Karatina Town.
The Cooperative was registered in October 1996. The factory currently has 467 female and 804 male farmers that contribute their cherries. It also has its own plot of land with 1500 trees. The agronomist for the Cooperative uses it for training farmers. Proceeds from the sale of these cherries help fund the factory’s operations. Its tasting notes are blackberry, stone fruit and lime.
