It’s time for a pool party


It’s time to chillax with friends and family!

Let those hot summer days be full of fun, splashes and of course good food and drinks. August is still a month to fuel on the summer vibe and enjoy precious moments.

So set up a good buffet, bring everyone together for the day, and make a splash!

Get inspired by some of our recipes and decorations.


Decorating or presenting things differently will embellish your event and bring a great experience to your guests. Here are some little ideas that are not too complicated!

Yes! Decorating the pool can be very beautiful! Balloons of all sizes are perfect to fil the pool and decorate the garden.

Drinks ... put them in a nice garden container with ice cubes. It is easy for everyone to access and makes for good decoration. Think of non-alcoholic drinks as well. We opted here for homemade strawberry lemonade.

Do you have kids? Think of them by arranging for some chairs and games.

Mini thymes tarts (manakish)

  • 1 cup white sesame seeds
  • 2 cups ground thyme
  • 1 cup sumac
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ cups olive oil

Mix everything together and spread on the mini round dough. Put in the oven until the dough is cooked.


Shrimp tacos, guacamole & mango slaw

  • 1 kg small peeled shrimps
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1 ½ ground coriander
  • Juice of a lime
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ bunch fresh cilantro, minced

Cook shrimps in oil until pink. Add ground coriander, maple syrup and lime juice. Put in small taco bread, add guacamole, mango slaw and top with fresh coriander.

Watermelon, cucumbers, mint, feta & walnuts salad

  • 1 watermelon, carved out into balls
  • 6 Lebanese cucumbers, diced
  • A handful crushed walnuts
  • 150 gr Feta crumbles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime 

Mix all the ingredients and serve in the watermelon.

Mini pita burgers

  • 1 ½ kg ground meat
  • 5 avocados crushed with a fork
  • 3 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • Juice of a lime
  • ½ bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp. 7-spice mix
  • Salt to taste

Mix together. Make mini patties and cook in the oven. Put in mini pita bread and add the garnish of your choice.

Chicken balls

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 1 handful fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. 7-spice mix
  • ½ tsp. white pepper
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs

In the blender, mix the chicken with all the ingredients, except the oil and breadcrumbs. Dip your hands in cold water and create the chicken balls. Dip them in the breadcrumbs. Heat the oil and fry.

Finally, the dessert... What could be more refreshing than homemade popsicles. An explosion of fruits that you can mix with yogurt, coconut milk or whatever you like. Add pieces of fruits, herbs and it’s done! And if you have a little urge to please adults, add some rum to some pops!
